These soft, velvety yellow-coloured deposits are usually found under the eyes and can be a sign of elevated cholesterol levels. They arise symmetrically on the upper and lower eyelids, start off small but gradually grow over a period of months and do not resolve themselves.

Sebaceous Cysts Removal

Sebaceous Cysts

A cyst is a closed sac with semi-solid or liquid contents. Cysts can be treated with electrolysis with the aim to reduce rather than remove, as complete removal is usually only possible via minor surgery and will result in a scar.

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

A disorder of the sebaceous glands with cream/yellow small, soft, doughnut-shaped papules, usually found on the forehead, nose and cheeks. They don’t often cause any problems, but may become inflamed if disturbed by scratching or shaving for example.
